Your entrepreneurial education does not have to stop with high school graduation. There are numerous entrepreneurship scholarships available to students who are headed off to college and Independent Youth wants to make sure you are aware of them. Little Green Money Machine Scholarship
LGMM Kid of the Month winners are eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship for post-secondary education or to add to their business. Classrooms and youth groups can use the award towards their school or youth group activities. Little Green Money Machine offers an array of scholarships including; creative kid of the year, salesperson of the year, success story of the year, classroom/organization of the year and fundraiser of the year.
NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards
NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards is a scholarship program that rewards and encourages entrepreneurial talents among high school students. Recipients of the award receive scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $10,000. These scholarships may be used when attending a university, college, community college or vocational/technical institute of your choice.
The Girls Going Places Entrepreneurship Award Program
This annual Guardian initiative rewards 15 girls (ages 12-18) who demonstrate budding entrepreneurship; are taking the first steps toward financial independence; and are making a difference in their schools and communities. Prizes totaling $30,000 are granted to three top winners and 12 finalists to assist in furthering their entrepreneurial pursuits or save college.
National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) Future Entrepreneur Scholarship
This entrepreneurship scholarship is awarded each spring to one ambitious individual who demonstrates the characteristics and skills it takes to be a micro-business owner. The scholarship awards a student up to $24,000. The program is only open to legal dependents of NASE members that are high-school seniors or undergraduate students between the ages of 16 and 24.
